The red shirts are at it again, I understand that to have as they say a government imposed on you and not democratically elected is not what anyone would wish for. However from a point of view of Thailand the country these protests are doing irreparable damage as this country heavily relies on Tourism and as such cannot afford for foreign visitors to stay away. I do hope that people remember that all these protest are in no way aimed at any foreigners, and the chance of being caught up in any violence is extremely slim. This country is an amazing place to visit, and if you are lucky enough to see for yourself what it has to offer, I’m sure you will be longing to return. So give the Thai’s your support and visit Thailand.

Today, December 2nd, the Thai Constitutional Court banned Prime Minister Somchai Wongsawat from politics for five years and dissolved the ruling People Power Party (PPP) and two other coalition parties, over the voting fraud cases. There was no immidiate reaction from PM. However, the demonstrators led by the People's Alliance for Democracy (PAD) vowed to continue rallying at Don Muang and Suvarnabhumi airports and demanded the departure of the entire Cabinet along with PM.
Are you, by any chance, related to a Dr. Bittner from Yakima Washington who invented an external fixation device to set broken legs in the mid 1930s? If so, he's now recognized as a great pioneer by knowledgeable experts.

Stuart Green, MD
PS: I came across you website while contemplating a trip to Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan.

Staying at a Bed & Breakfast in India is a great way to travel. Many tourists don't think about it at all...with Asia flights becoming more affordable this trip experience seems more reachable than ever.

Good article. I would add that a good place to look for suits is in the four and five star hotels. The tailors would not be in there if guests had complaints. Also, Savile Row is considered the best, most consistent tailor by every expat I know.
The large department stores like Central and Robinson have reasonable deals and products can be tailored.
A bargain is not a bargain if it does not fit and is not well cut.

That's a great point Jonathan! If you're bargaining hard and they won't go below $300, then you are probably getting the real Cashmere wool. If they do go below that and are claiming that it's real Cashmere, you're probably getting cheated.

You know, there still isn't real cashmere for under $300 like anyone has bought! Everything is still just wool, 100% wool, but not Cashmere wool. Please be wary of that. Lighting a swatch ony lets you know if the fabric is polyester or wool, never the difference between wool and cashmere wool.

Having read that, I now feel completely convinced that my suit was done well. It took about 4 days for my suit to be done, with 2 fittings not including the measuring stage in total. The clothes were fitted and my wife checked me out before we left the shop and till now, everything still feels great. Therefore I feel the need to recommend them as well. Crown Tailors, on the left when you walk in Sukhumvit soi 8.
